File No. 812.113/930.
The American Consul at Nogales to the Secretary of State.
[Telegram.—Paraphrase.]
Douglas Ariz.,
September 8, 1912—4 p.m.
I have just forwarded to Naco the arms and ammunition for consular agent Cananea by the same train it arrived on; it can not be forwarded immediately to Cananea from Naco because about 200 rebels have taken possession of railroad. There are now 500 Federals at Cananea, with 400 more en route to Cananea from Nogales; apparently there is no danger of Cananea being captured, and arms and ammunition can remain in the possession of United States troops Naco for the present.
