590. Fourth Liberator referred to in my 585, June 12, 8 p.m., appears to have succeeded in reaching Syrian territory.
The Turkish General Staff informed me this morning that fifth Liberator landed at Arifiye with 3 of the crew injured and that a sixth American airplane as yet unidentified as to type has landed at Yalova with crew of 3 of whom 1 is dead.
[Page 791]General staff also states that it has received an as yet unconfirmed report that a seventh American airplane has landed at Mudanya.
