Foreign Office states that it has this morning received a telegram from Shansi authorities stating that the sieges of Linfen (Pingyang) and Hungtung were raised on April 2 and 4, respectively. The foreign missionaries at those places are “quite safe” and continued protection is being afforded them.

Repeated to Peiping, Tientsin, Shanghai.
