- Kawagoe made yesterday afternoon his second call on Chang Chun and is reliably reported to have asked, under instructions from Tokyo, that prompt measures be taken by the Chinese authorities to enable the Japanese investigators sent to Pakhoi to carry out their mission. The Foreign Minister is said to have promised to telegraph the Kwangtung authorities and to have asked that the Japanese be patient. It is stated that no other questions were discussed.
