82. Following from American Consul General at Mukden:
“January 16, 1 p.m. Telegram No. 32. Headquarters reports that a Japanese battalion occupied Tungliao January 14, noon, after ejecting 3,000 Chinese partisans; losses, Chinese 60, Japanese 0.
Reliable information is to the effect that these so-called partisans belonged to the Third Cavalry Brigade of which about 1,000 were in Tungliao.”
