Nine American citizens, including G. P. Robinson, wife and son, and one British subject, fled before threatened assaults at the Suriana mine in the State of Guerrero, took refuge in Telolcapan and urgently requested aid. I made urgent personal representations to the Department of Gobernacion, which sent instructions to General Vego to furnish an escort. British Minister has made similar representations. I will also make usual representations to Foreign Office.
