Nine American citizens, including G. P. Robinson, wife and son, and one British subject, fled before threatened assaults at the [Page 731] Suriana mine in the State of Guerrero, took refuge in Telolcapan and urgently requested aid. I made urgent personal representations to the Department of Gobernacion, which sent instructions to General Vego to furnish an escort. British Minister has made similar representations. I will also make usual representations to Foreign Office.
