Sir: The Department is in receipt of your despatch No. 14, of the 28th of November last, reporting the status of the proposed construction of the Panama-David Railway.
A copy of the despatch has been sent to the Secretary of War, for his information.
The matter of the construction of the Panamá-David Railway is now being considered by the War Department in conjunction with congressional action looking to the operation and maintenance of the Panama Canal.
