The Acting Secretary of State to the American Ambassador.

Governor Jalisco will probably resign soon, and Consul Guadalajara requests 30,000 rounds ammunition as soon as possible, fearing serious disorder after resignation. War Department is to-day issuing orders for despatch 50,000 rounds to him. If in the meantime the need becomes urgent and the colony at Mexico City can spare the ammunition, have sufficient supplies sent from Mexico City.
