The German minister for foreign affairs announced to me that the agreement between Germany and France in regard to Morocco was signed in Paris last Saturday. He asked me to communicate the [Page 669] information to you and say that the Government of Germany recognizes the interest which the President has taken in that subject and greatly appreciates what he has done to bring about speedy and peaceful solution of the questions at issue.
