164. Editorial Note
President Jimmy Carter visited Riyadh January 3–4, 1978, as part of a larger ten-day international trip that included stops in Poland, Iran, India, Egypt, France, and Belgium. On January 3, Carter met with Saudi officials on two occasions in order to discuss the Middle East peace process.
