The Secretary of State to Prime Minister Mendès-France 1
Washington, September 15,
1954.
My Dear Mr. President: This is just a brief note to let you know that I plan to make a quick visit to London and Bonn Thursday and [Page 1196] Friday. I regret that time is so short because it will not permit me to stop over in Paris to talk with you much as I would like to do so. However I hope that we will have this opportunity very shortly when we meet either in London or in New York at the UN.
Until then, with best wishes,2
Sincerely yours,
Foster Dulles
