The United States Representative at the United Nations (Lodge) to the Assistant Secretary of State for united Nations Affairs (Key)
confidential
New York, June 21,
1954.
Dear David: In reply to yours of June 16th, I think there can be no question at all that the President at his meeting with Churchill and [Page 733] Eden should come to an agreement on not having the Chinese representation question come up at the United Nations. I cannot conceive of anything which is more important for them to agree on.
Sincerely yours,
Henry Cabot Lodge,
Jr.
