If you have not yet paid farewell call on Nehru1 you may wish consider conveying to him as departing friend your forthright personal observations on possible consequences to India if GOI fols present course in fon relations. I leave to ur discretion the forcefulness with which you may wish to present ur views. I am sure you will agree this occasion may offer an opportunity to obtain from Nehru rather more realistic and comprehensive views than he has heretofore expressed. [McGhee.]
