162. It is understood that Prime Minister informed United Nations representative in Amman on December 16 that since Transjordan has accepted SC resolution of November 16 it is willing consider armistice plan. Suggested that Jews submit armistice plan in writing for consideration of Transjordan Government.1

Stabler reported on December 23 that the “King and Prime Minister have decided to consider any plan in writing proposed by Israelis but any negotiations concerning it must await until Conciliation Commission arrives.
