212. In course conversation with me today Foreign Minister said, referring to recent signing Linggadjati Agreement,44 that he now feels Western Powers, including US, Great Britain, France and Netherlands, should “get together” and cooperate closely on economic, financial and other problems in Far East. He did not elaborate but added that Dutch Ambassador Moscow might be expected approach Chief US delegation Moscow45 with view ascertaining his views this matter.
