The Secretary of State to the Ambassador in Czechoslovakia (Steinhardt)
Washington, December
11, 1945—8 p.m.
461. Dept has agreed to support immediate small Eximbank credit to Czechoslovakia, perhaps $25 to $35 million apart from cotton credit. Commercial Counselor of Czechoslovak Embassy has been informed of this. He reports that a delegation headed by Mr. Masaryk19 will soon visit Washington to negotiate loan. Dept would appreciate any comments you may have.
