1133. Department’s 649, June 30, 11 p.m. As already reported by me the question has been raised as to an eventual departure of the Egyptian Government and the British Ambassador has suggested removal to Khartoum. Up to last night no decision had been taken by Egyptian Government although as previously stated there are indications that it would remain.
I had assumed that upon leaving Egypt my ultimate destination would be Jidda pending further dispositions.
