There remain in Monrovia the Consul as well as Nolke and Brandt who are his non-career assistants and are living with him. I urged the Secretary of State again this morning to request their immediate departure but he is reluctant and I fear will not take action until this Government has received assurance of further protection as outlined in my telegram 198 of June 18, 5 p.m.67
