Brazilian army post at Corumba has been requested to investigate concentration at Bahía Negra and Argentine Foreign Office is requesting Argentine firm of Casado Brothers with offices in Puerto Casado and Concepción to report on any military activity in those localities. Argentine and Peruvian delegations and I have requested our Legations in Asunción to report any available information.

Alvéstegui52 stated to us this afternoon that he cabled President Toro this morning reporting yesterday’s conversations, also recommending that Bolivia should continue confidence in the Conference which possesses the means to check the facts and if confirmed to take appropriate action. [Braden.]
