According to Standard-Vacuum, New York office of Asiatic Petroleum received from London on May 2 a telegram to the effect that it has also been decided in London that the Asiatic Petroleum should in the first place apply only to Manchuria and should not approach Tokyo unless it later becomes necessary to make a claim.
