570. My 338, May 2, 8 p.m.18 In reply to the Legation’s further inquiry, following from Nanking:
“July 13, 4 p.m. Ministry for Foreign Affairs today informed me that action for ratification by China of Washington Radio Convention of 1927 was taken in June but was nullified by irregular proceeding duplicature. The necessary action has been taken again and only the signature of Chiang Kai-shih19 is now required for [completion?] of ratification by China of the Radio Convention.”20
