54. The Chancellor has officially and urgently requested me to report that he would appreciate very much an early reply to the question on pages 3 and 46 of my despatch No. 1508 of August 30th. The reasons for the urgency of the request are connected with the meeting of the Austrian Control Committee in London on October 11th. Further details are given in my despatch of this date.
