The Minister in Honduras (Morales) to the Secretary of State

Sir: Referring to the Department’s telegraphic instruction No. 28 of August 15, 1922, 5 P.M., and the Legation’s reply, telegram No. 70 of August 17, 1922, 2 P.M., with reference to the boundary dispute between the Republics of Nicaragua and Honduras, I have [Page 447] the honor to inform the Department that President Gutierrez discussed the matter with President Chamorro and a clause mentioning the boundary question was inserted into the convention.
President Gutiérrez has instructed the Honduranean Minister for Foreign Affairs to answer the Department’s communication of October 27, 1921, addressed to the Honduranean Minister in Washington accepting the proposition along the lines suggested by the Department.
