File No. 812.00/12471.
Chargé Lorillard to the Secretary of State.
Buenos Aires, July 11, 1914.
In reply to my note, conveying instructions of July 7, Minister for Foreign Affairs replies today as follows:
In the name of the Vice President, I reciprocate these declarations which are entirely in accord with the sentiments and intentions which have animated the action of Argentina united with those of Brazil and Chile for the good of American fraternity. It will be always a great cause of pleasure to the Argentine Government to have contributed to a pacific solution doubly flattering as it not only united two nations friendly to us but consecrates the ideal of peace and concord as an efficient force in international relations.
