Thanking you for your telegram of yesterday, I have the honor to inform you that the document I requested by my telegram of 23d instant was the preliminary warrant contemplated by article 2 of convention, April, 1884.
I am not able to answer second part of your telegram, not having yet received instructions, but have ground to believe that Italian Government would be willing to send all documents referring to the case should United States Government wish to have culprit judged by American courts for the crime he committed in Italy.
