(Mr. Leishman reports that the statement made by the minister for foreign affairs several weeks ago to the effect that the question of examinations of the students of American medical school at Beirut had been favorably acted upon is officially confirmed by a note verbale, dated March 5, advising that an Imperial iradé has been issued authorizing the sending of a special jury to Beirut to participate in the examinations.)
