[Telegram.]

The lawyer who is in Wilmington, N. C., urging the release of the Commodore is the same Mr. Reuben Pastner, of B. Guerra, treasurer of the Cuban Junta and one of the counsel for the defendants in the trial at Wilmington, Del.

Dupuy de Lôme.

Handed to Mr. Adee by Dr. Gaytan, Secretary of the Spanish Legation, October 8, 1895.

The Spanish consul in Key West wires that leaders and considerable number of men left the Keys; that the Cincinnati is in port; that the Woodall is about to start from New Orleans, conveying the party, and that the Childs, probably now in Key West, is preparing to sail. Consul in Tampa reports expedition is now in Pine Reef.
