173. Editorial Note
According to his own account, Prime Minister Macmillan met in turn with each of the other Heads of Government, beginning at 6 p.m. with President de Gaulle. At 7:15 p.m., he talked with President Eisenhower, after which he discussed the summit conference with Khrushchev. For McMillan’s account of these meetings, see Pointing the Way, pages 207–208.
