366. Editorial Note

The United States signed the International Coffee Agreement on March 21, 1968. For text, see 19 UST 6333; TIAS 6584. The agreement, which replaced the 1962 International Coffee Agreement due to expire on September 30, 1968, was sent to the Senate for advice and consent to ratification on April 23. The Senate adopted its resolution advising and consenting to ratification on June 28, and the agreement was ratified on July 10. It entered into force provisionally on October 1 and definitively on December 30.

Legislation to implement the International Coffee Agreement was enacted on October 24. (P.L. 90–634, 82 Stat. 1348)
