- At your discretion and with due regard for security your forces and need for concealing involvement U.S. conduct eyeball recco objective area first light 19 April.
- 2.
- New subject. If CEF effort has not been fully effective desire all info earliest as to whether guerilla operations have been started. If this is the case then it might be possible for us to arrange support by air drops etc. As you must realize I am groping in the dark and any info you can supply (possibly through Col Mallardʼs sources) would be of great help.
- 3.
- Another subject. We may be called upon for evacuation of wounded. This might involve helicopters and stop off in Essex prior transfer to yet undetermined destination.
