154. Memorandum of Conference Between President Johnson and Chancellor Erhard

Ingelido, Secretary of the JCS, who drafted the memorandum. McNamara’s brief handwritten notes of this conference are in the Washington National Records Center, RG 330, OSD Files: FRC 71 A 3470, Budget Memos to the President. According to the notes, all the Joint Chiefs attended the meeting, as did McNamara, Gilpatric, Clifton, and Kermit Gordon, Director of the Bureau of the Budget.
