Editorial Note
The First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly met on the afternoon of December 7 from 3 to 4:15 p. m.; for the record, see U.K document A/C.1/SR.409. At this meeting, the Committee by a vote of 42 to 5, with 4 abstentions, agreed to give priority to debating the question of intervention by the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China in Korea. The First Committee, however, did not vote during the remainder of its sessions during 1950 on the six-power draft resolution (see the editorial note, page 1421).
