Editorial Note
At the 257th meeting of the Austrian Deputies on September 7, Zarubin took the same line as at previous meetings and “after a mutual exchange of recriminations” the British Deputy proposed, and the United States and French Deputies accepted, a proposal to suspend the meetings until mid-December. Zarubin agreed to consult his Government and inform the Secretariat whether this procedure could be adopted. (Telegram 1454, Delau 487, September 7, from London, 663.001/9–750)
