Cantel 1065. Reference Cantel 1049, August 30 and 1056, August 31.77 Personnel of Embassy and Consulate General Canton have succeeded finding acceptable temporary quarters ashore effective September 4, thus eliminating problem originally posed by departure Dixie.78
Coding machine being installed Consulate General Hong Kong afternoon September 4 under direction regional security supervisor Beman. Embassy office work apart from coding will be performed in residence [to] be occupied by Strong and Lancaster.79 All classified files be shipped Taipei first opportunity.
