61. Re Contel 54, January 18.⁶ I am reliably informed peace delegation comprising 11 persons including ex-mayor Ho Ssu-yuan departed on mission from Peiping 3:30 p. m. today.

Information received by USIS director about same time was that General Fu Tso-yi had dispatched his own delegate one-half hour previously.
