333. Responsible official Netherlands FonOff today indicated informally to Embassy officer that:
- (1)
- Netherlands Government intends accept invitation to participate preliminary meeting trade conference. (Depcirtel December 14, Embtel No. 330, December 27.33)
- (2)
- Netherlands Government would be pleased if consideration could be given to extension invitation to Norway with which Netherlands hopes develop close economic relations.
- (3)
- In opinion Netherlands Government inclusion Norway and perhaps some other smaller Allies would counterbalance predominance of British Empire countries.
