99. In a speech before Parliament this evening regarding the signing of the Tripartite Pact55 the Prime Minister said that its purpose was to maintain peace in the Balkans and that Bulgaria had agreed to the entry of German troops into Bulgaria. The Chamber showed its approval by a vote of 140 to 20. The opposition was not afforded an opportunity for debate.
