1. Government wishes to purchase Sperry antiaircraft searchlights to value of $700,000 provided Export and Import Bank will grant credit. It is believed that as credit operation no obstacles exist, Turkish Government seeks American lights and will certainly purchase elsewhere if unable to close with Sperry. Please cable whether nature of business will prevent Export and Import Bank from assisting.
