160. Department’s 85, March 30, 6 p.m. British Legation has had nothing from its Foreign Office. American Consul General at Mukden87 reports however that his British colleague informed him that advices from his Embassy [at] Tokyo indicate British Embassy proposes to make similar representations in line with our suggestion. Myers expresses belief that similar representations by American Embassy had become desirable.
