Your 221, October 9, 6 p.m. On October 1 the Department wrote the Governor of Arizona⁷³ and on October 6 communicated with him by telephone and received assurance that everything possible is being done to prevent unlawful acts and to protect the rights of all concerned. The Department is confident that the State authorities are giving appropriate attention to the situation. The Department has informed Japanese Chargé d’Affaires here.
