The Chargé in Uruguay (Gade) to the Secretary of State

Sir: With reference to the Department’s telegraphic instruction No. 9, of June 1 (1929) 1 p.m.,18 regarding a Fokker Super-Universal monoplane belonging to the Pan American Airways, I have the honor to report that in a note received yesterday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises this Legation that the Ministry of War and Marine has accorded permission for this airplane to fly over and land in Uruguayan territory.

The Ministry of Finance has not yet granted free entry contingent upon reexportation, but the Foreign Office has promised promptly to notify the Legation as soon as a reply is received.
