118. Department’s 76, April 10, 5 p.m. Foreign Office states telegraphic report has been received from the Governor of Trinidad to the effect that he is in touch with a representative of the company and has given permission for “Pan American” seaplanes to land in Trinidad in connection with an experimental flight to explore the possibilities of a regular service. The Foreign Office adds Pan American Airways representative has been informed that no permanent proposal can be considered except after consultation with His Majesty’s Government. Foreign Office hopes to furnish Embassy further information at an early date.
