62. Please inform the Guatemalan Government of the apprehensions of the President of Honduras as reported in Minister Summerlin’s [Page 758] telegram of July 26, 4 p.m., and say that although this Government assumes that some misunderstanding must exist and has entire confidence in the purpose of Guatemala to maintain the status quo, you are directed to point out the importance of avoiding the appearance of any aggressive action.
