My telegram number 533, September 29, 4 p.m.35 Farman36 returned this evening from Slonim front reports present operations now practically concluded have deprived Bolsheviki of offensive possibilities for some time to come. States that both officers and men [frankly] longing for immediate peace. This confirms information that war weary public will support Sapieha’s efforts to conclude peace without delay. Nothing but clever maneuvering by small war party [is now visible] step as against peace.
