The Zamor brothers, Charles and Oreste, are apparently in control of the revolutionary situation, having defeated Davilmar Theodore in battle at Gonaives on February 1. Oreste Zamor has sent a committee of eight to Port au Prince to gain permission of local authorities to enter the city. The reply is likely to be favorable. Zamor plans to establish provisional government and await action of Assembly. He may attempt to dissolve the present Assembly and elect a new one.
