Present this Government’s congratulations to the new President of whose inauguration we have just learned. We wish for Jiménez and his country undisturbed peace, great prosperity and continued progress. We hope that all factions will unite in patriotic support of the Government and enter into friendly rivalry for the promotion of the common good. The Commander of the vessels there will receive from the Navy Department instructions for the maintenance of order and the proper administration of the Government.
