Mr. Adee to Mr. Bátres.

Sir: I have had the honor to receive your note of the 24th ultimo, and have had a copy of it and other papers at the Department, in relation to the schooner Ounalaska, forwarded to the Attorney-General of the United States for such use as may be deemed advisable in any prosecution against that vessel at San Francisco, whither she has been dispatched, under guard, by the United States minister to the Central American States, for having violated the neutrality laws of this country.
