Sir: I transmit herewith a copy of Consul Viosca’s dispatch to me, No. 13, 17th August last, which informs me that the circuit court at Culiacan has fully confirmed the sentence imposed by the district court at La Paz upon Captain Caleb, of the American schooner Adriana, and that that schooner was to have been sold in a few days (after the date of his dispatch).

Consul Viosca to Mr. Morgan.

Sir: It has been reported from Mazatlan that in the appeal of the Adriana case pending before the United Mexican States circuit court at Culiacan, decision has been rendered by the said court fully confirming the sentence of the district court here.

The schooner Adriana will be sold by the authorities here at public auction in a few days.
