Sir: Referring to my Nos. 203, 204, 205, and 206, which give some idea of the late insurrectionary or revolutionary outbreak at Ciudad Bolivar, and extension of open disaffection in the reported form of guerrilla bodies to some other States, I have now to add, in continuation of the subject, that according to all accounts the outbreak at Ciudad Bolivar has been suppressed by a counter-movement which originated in the State of Guayana; that all or nearly all the guerrilla bodies in other parts of the country have been dispersed that hundreds of political prisoners are lodged in jails and “bóvedas”; and that peace prevails for the present.
