Termination of Mission: Left post on November 21, 1827- No report has been found concerning Watts’s presentation of credentials as Chargé d’Affaires en titre; he had been serving at Bogota as Chargé d’Affaires ad interim since June 1826. Commissioned to Colombia (i.e. “Gran Colombia,” which separated into the states of Ecuador, New Granada, and Venezuela).
